                        Le gros Bill [excerpt]
Dir. : René Delacroix et Jean-Yves Bigras [Productions Renaissance, 1949]
Length: 2:35 |
A cousin from the States, “Big Bill”, comes back to Quebec to live. As in Germaine Guèvremont’s Le survenant, the unexpected arrival of this colossus upsets the routine of the tight-knit rural community he makes his home. Big Bill finds himself sought after by the women and envied by the men, putting him in a situation at the very least uncomfortable.
