A linchpin of the Quebec economy, Caisses populaires Desjardins celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1950. To mark the event, celebrations were organised in the town of Lévis, where Alphonse Desjardins founded the first Caisse populaire in 1900. This colour film on these popular festivities was made by the abbé Maurice Proulx.
